The coordinators of the 36 states and Federal Capital Territory of the Buhari Support Organizations, BSO, has challenged the Minister of Agriculture, Dr Mohammed Abubakar to summon an emergency meeting of the organisation to explain alleged embezzlement of campaign funds.
The coordinators formally wrote to the Minister who is also the chairman of the organization to “urgently convene a stakeholders’ meeting to respond to the allegations making the rounds on social media, accusing him of diverting hundreds of millions of Naira from the purse of the irganization which was originally pooled together to support the campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 elections.
In the letter signed by the Zonal coordinators of the BSO on behalf of other members, the organization drew the attention of the minister to the negative consequences of the organization’s silence, which has likely spillover effect on the image of President Buhari whose rating has recently taken quite a bashing from across sections of the country.
The coordinators appealed to the Minister to hasten and convene the meeting in order to respond to the allegations, appropriately.
