The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) popularly identified as unknown gunmen, have reportedly beheaded the sole administrator of the Ideato North local government area of Imo state, Chris Ohizu.
They have also threatened the Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma.
Ohizu was kidnapped last week by the gunmen after they razed down his country home.
In a video posted on Ohizu WhatsApp status early Monday morning, the gunmen were seen beheading Ohizu at a yet-to-be identified location.
The gunmen, who spoke in Imo dialect, also sent out threats to the Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma.
