The Borno state chairman of People Democratic Party, PDP, Zanna Gaddama has vowed that his party would force the All Progressives Congress, APC, out of power in 2023.
He stated this while addressing party supporters during membership revalidation of Muhammed Hayatiddeen in Maiduguri on Sunday.
Gaddama called on the sons and daughters of Borno to bring positive change and eradicate injustice, inequality and hardship allegedly experienced in the APC government.
The chairman, who spoke in the Hausa and Kanuri languages, called on all Borno citizens to obtain voter’s card to fight for change.
He assured that the PDP will defend the rights and landed properties of Borno people which, according to him, the APC government has been demolishing.
Gaddama expressed optimism that his party will wins all positions from the local, state and federal levels.
On his part, a former PDP chairman, Bukar Kolo said members of APC in Borno and Abuja were in deep fear of the change the people are yearning for.
Also, the immediate past chairman of the party, Usman Baderi debunked the rumour that PDP members were not united.
He reiterated that while Gaddama is now the party chairman in the state, Muhammed Imam is the only unopposed governorship candidate and Isa Hayatiddeen, the presidential aspirant.
