A group, the Bauchi Good Governance Monitor, has said it is excited by the well-deserved recognition of the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed for the Nigerian Excellence Awards in Public Service by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Group, while reacting to the award on Governor Bala in a statement by its convener, Hassan Tijjani Azare, said it is reassuring to the people of Bauchi that their Governor, though in the opposition has been found worthy of the award meant to recognise and reward innovation, purposeful leadership, and other exceptional deserving individual qualities by people that are contributing to the betterment of the country.
“On behalf of the entire people of Bauchi State, we rejoice with our dear Governor for earning a distinguished award for excellent performance in rural development by TBS Media in collaboration with the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
“The award presented to the Governor by President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, October 21, 2022, during the Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS) ceremony is another testimony to the massive rural development drives of Governor Bala Muhammad.
“This is manifested in the provision of Rural Roads, Rural Health Care Facilities, Construction and Renovation of Schools, Agricultural interventions and the famous Kaura Economic Empowerment Program (KEEP),” the release concluded.
“We are eternally proud that foremost amongst the recipients of this prestigious award are former President Goodluck Jonathan, and Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi State
“This award follows chains of others already competently earned by Governor Bala in recognition of his intimidating record of achievement in the few years of his ascension as Bauchi Governor,” the Group said.
