The flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and the party’s governors forum, led by its chairman and Sokoto state governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal on Wednesday, had a closed-door meeting shortly after Bola Tinubu secured the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
On top of the agenda, sources say, were the choice of the running mate, the composition of the presidential campaign council, as well as strategies to face the APC contender in the forthcoming general elections.
Other governors reported to have attended the meeting were Bayelsa state governor, Douyi Diri; his Bauchi, Rivers, Benue and Oyo counterparts, Bala Muhammed, Nyesom Wike, Samuel Ortom and Seyi Makinde.
