APC’s bounce back in Niger excites youths

The Niger APC Youth Vanguard has said it is excited by the rate at which the Niger State All Progressives Congress APC is gaining strength under the new chairman of the party.

Attributing the successful repositioning of the party to the new State Chairman, Haliru Jikantoro and the active assistance Nma Kolo, the Governor’s Special Adviser Political and Strategy, the Group commended their strategic reconciliation efforts that mended the cracks within the party.

In a statement issued by its Chairman, Salihu Abubakar, N-APCYV emphasized the party chairman and Special Adviser Political and Strategy played in ensuring that all hitherto warring factions reached amicable compromises.

“The work that they did in the background in the past few months cannot be disregarded. First, they succeeded in unifying the key stakeholders in Niger State and got them to sheathe their swords in order to ensure a stronger, united APC.

The Group also commended the two leaders for their fairness, stating that in all the engagements that its members were privy to, they noticed how the members always sought to hear the grievances of the concerned stakeholders, before recommending possible lines of action.

“In the political space, it is very rare that you will see political actors behave in the way the state’s APC Chairman and Nma Kolo have done. They did not pick sides, instead, it was clear from the onset that they were always working in the best interest of the party in Niger, and overall, in the national interest of the party.

“As we move forward, we are confident that they will continue to work to ensure that our party emerges stronger across board.

“We are optimistic that they will get the job of repositioning our party right as we head into the 2023 General elections,” the Youth Group stated.
