APC stalwart, Engr. Michael Adeyanju, has congratulated the Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), Biyi Poroye, on his recognition by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) with the prestigious Friend of the Bar award.

The honour was conferred during the 2025 Law Week of the NBA Akure Branch, held at the International Culture and Event Centre (The Dome), Akure, where the Association celebrated individuals whose contributions have strengthened the legal community, promoted justice, and supported the professional development of legal practitioners.

Prince Poroye, widely admired for his dynamic leadership and commitment to grassroots development, was acknowledged for his consistent advocacy, philanthropy, and partnership with institutions dedicated to upholding the rule of law.

In a statement issued on Friday, Engr. Adeyanju described the award as “well-deserved and inspiring,” noting that Poroye has demonstrated exceptional public service rooted in courage, innovation, and inclusiveness.

“Prince Biyi Poroye’s leadership ethos continues to resonate across Ondo State and beyond. His NBA ‘Friend of the Bar’ award is a testament not only to his unwavering support for the legal profession but also to his broader commitment to justice, development, and community empowerment. We are proud of this national recognition of his impact. Despite not being a legal practitioner, he continues to stand out as a distinguished litigant,” Adeyanju said.

He further commended Prince Poroye for fostering institutional partnerships that enhance public trust and strengthen governance in oil-producing communities within the state.

The Friend of the Bar award adds to the growing list of recognitions for Prince Poroye, who has been at the forefront of initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, education, and economic opportunities in Ondo State’s oil-producing areas. Stakeholders across political, legal, and civic circles have continued to applaud his transformational leadership and people-centred policies.

As congratulatory messages continue to pour in, the honour is widely seen as both a celebration of Poroye’s accomplishments and a call to further strengthen collaborations between public institutions and professional bodies in advancing justice and development in Nigeria.

In a similar vein, the Secretary General of the Imole Progressive Network, Olorunfemi Christopher, on behalf of Engineer Michael Abayomi Adeyanju and the Imole Progressive Network, congratulated Gani Mohammed on his well-deserved appointment as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Duties and Strategy.

“This appointment reflects your dedication, commitment, and outstanding contributions to the growth and development of our state. We are confident that you will discharge your duties with excellence, integrity, and strategic foresight.

“We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for entrusting Comrade Gani Mohammed with this important responsibility. Congratulations once again, We wish you continued success in your new assignment.
