APC stalwart, Engr. Michael Adeyanju, has congratulated the Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), Biyi Poroye, on his recognition by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) with the prestigious Friend of the Bar award.
The honour was conferred during the 2025 Law Week of the NBA Akure Branch, held at the International Culture and Event Centre (The Dome), Akure, where the Association celebrated individuals whose contributions have strengthened the legal community, promoted justice, and supported the professional development of legal practitioners.
Prince Poroye, widely admired for his dynamic leadership and commitment to grassroots development, was acknowledged for his consistent advocacy, philanthropy, and partnership with institutions dedicated to upholding the rule of law.
In a statement issued on Friday, Engr. Adeyanju described the award as “well-deserved and inspiring,” noting that Poroye has demonstrated exceptional public service rooted in courage, innovation, and inclusiveness.

He further commended Prince Poroye for fostering institutional partnerships that enhance public trust and strengthen governance in oil-producing communities within the state.
The Friend of the Bar award adds to the growing list of recognitions for Prince Poroye, who has been at the forefront of initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, education, and economic opportunities in Ondo State’s oil-producing areas.
