Former governor of Sokoto state and founder of Democratic People’s Party, DPP, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peace and cohesion for the development of Nigeria.
He also called on the people of Sokoto state to support the administration of governor Aminu Tambuwal, in order to bring further development and economic growth to the state.
Bafarawa stated this in his message to Nigerians and the people of Sokoto state as marked his 66th birthday anniversary on Sunday.
He urged the people of Sokoto to eschew political differences and close ranks to support governor Tambuwal led-administration in the state.
According to him, the electorate should also take responsibility for good governance by ensuring accountability among those they voted into public office.
Bafarawa underscored the importance of unity amongst the people, irrespective of political differences and called for collective prayers for leaders to succeed in their tasks of governance.
He used the occasion to thank his numerous supporters for their continued support to him and the leadership in the state.
