A new political movement, We2gedaNG, has emerged and organized a three-day symposium on good governance, exemplary leadership and youths inclusion in Minna, Niger state.
A statement by the convener, Ibrahim Abdulkarim on Wednesday, said the programme, organized by Niger state chapter, is aimed at changing the course of bad leadership and champion leadership paradigm shift in Nigeria, is titled “Retrieving the Right.”
“The programme is part of multiple iterations featuring symposium on the need for the public to understand the motives behind we2geda, its visions, missions and some of its interventions on the polity,” he said.
The 3-day engagements is scheduled to hold at the Conference Hall of Abdulsalami Abubakar Youth Centre, Minna, on Sunday December 5 and Monday December 6, respectively.
It shall feature inter-tertiary debates and essay writings, with prizes, awards and certificates would be given to participants.
The convener said the 3-day event is signalling the official flagging of the movement on Thursday, December 9, and the choice of Niger State stem from its strategic position in the political history of Nigeria.
Abdulkarim added that there is no better time to mobilize, sensitize and involve Nigerians, irrespective of religious, ethnic, gender and class sensitivities than now.
“Nigeria deserve better leadership, responsive and committed individuals that would foster remarkable interactive leadership.
“We2gedaNG is ready to lead the way on this noble journey of rescuing Nigeria. And we are inviting all Nigerians irrespective of age and gender to join hands with us for a better, prosperous Nigeria,” he said.
