The member representing Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abdulmalik Zubairu Bungudu, has distributed irrigation machines to 205 dry-season farmers in his constituency.
In a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, the lawmaker announced the latest phase of the distribution, noting that it was in addition to the 80 machines distributed two weeks earlier.
The statement reads:
“We have successfully distributed irrigation machines to 205 farmers in the Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency. This is in addition to the 80 machines we distributed two weeks ago.”
Zubairu explained that the initiative aims to enhance dry-season farming activities in the constituency.
He urged the beneficiaries to support other farmers who do not have access to irrigation machines, regardless of their political affiliation, to promote agricultural development in the region.
The lawmaker also highlighted that the distribution program was a collaboration between his office and the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).
He concluded by praying for lasting peace and stability in the area.
