The Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC) has assured flood victims across the country that those with insurance cover for their agricultural produce would receive urgent attention.
The Managing Director of NAIC, Mrs Folashade Joseph, said this in a statement by the Head, of Corporate Affairs, Magdalene Omosimua, on Thursday in Abuja.
Joseph said that the development was devastating, adding that the pain and agony of the victims were equally felt by NAIC.
“I once again sympathise with all who were affected by the devastating floods.
“As a caring and responsive organisation, I assure insured clients that their genuine claims will be given urgent attention to enable them to go back to their productive lives,” she said.
She advised Nigerians to insure their properties and business endeavours with NAIC to mitigate against the effects of climate change on their investments.
This, according to her, is to guarantee the sustainability of existing jobs, income stabilisation, food security, poverty alleviation, and wealth creation.
