Cassava Technologies, a global technology leader of African heritage, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with U.S.-based Entanglement, Inc. to accelerate artificial intelligence (AI), cyber security, and quantum innovation across Africa and the Middle East.

The partnership combines Cassava’s vast digital infrastructure — including high-speed fibre networks, GPU-enabled compute, and regional data centres — with Entanglement’s expertise in AI, cyber security, and quantum-inspired technologies. It aims to deliver transformative solutions in sectors such as cyber security, healthcare, climate sustainability, and data centre efficiency across Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, and the Gulf region.

“This partnership comes at an exciting time for Cassava Technologies, coinciding with the launch of our GPU-as-a-Service,” said Hardy Pemhiwa, President and Group CEO of Cassava Technologies. “Across Africa, we are seeing growing demand for secure, reliable digital infrastructure with powerful processing capabilities. Collaborations like this enable us to support the continent’s stakeholders in developing AI solutions relevant to Africa.”

Entanglement’s proprietary quantum logic methods and novel chip architectures deliver quantum-level performance on existing AI hardware, unlocking new capabilities in sectors such as telecommunications, finance, logistics, and climate modelling.

Jason Turner, Chairman and CEO of Entanglement, said the partnership will open access to some of the fastest-growing digital economies in the world and help overcome traditional infrastructure and energy limitations.

Initial focus areas include cyber and network security, AI infrastructure assurance, data centre optimisation, biosurveillance, and climate intelligence. The collaboration will also establish innovation hubs, training programmes, and co-creation initiatives to equip African and Middle Eastern markets with the skills and resources needed to thrive in the global innovation economy.
