ASHENEWS reports that the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (UNFAO) has ranked South Africa as 12th, Egypt 16th and Morocco 17th, and 17 other countries as world’s top producers of Apples.
According to the data, released in 2022, China is first with 47,571,800 tonnes, followed by Turkiye, 4,817,500 and United States 4,429,330 tonnes.
At the tail end of the list are Mexico 817,805 tonnes, North Korea 801,532 and Pakistan 758,298 tonnes.
