ASHENEWS reports that the Kano State government has supported 50 pilgrims from the state with over 30,000 Saudi Riyals in the just concluded 2023 Hajj exercise.
Director General of the state pilgrims welfare Board, Laminu Rabiu Danbappa stated this while speaking to journalists in Makkah on Tuesday.
A statement issued by Nasiru Yusuf Ibrahim, the Acting Chairman of, the Kano State Media Team for the 2023 Hajj said that the beneficiaries had lost their Basic Travel Allowance in Saudi Arabia.
“The beneficiaries received half of the money ranging from 750 Saudi Riyals to 500 US Dollars.
“The major beneficiary was a female from Gwale Local Government Area who lost 1,000 US dollars and received 500 US Dollars,” the statement said.
Danbappa noted that 3,000 pilgrims from the statement have so far been flown in following the completion of the exercise.
He equally convened the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria’s assurance of the completion of the operation barring any hitch, before Sunday 31st of this month.
