Akinloye Oyeniyi, a public affairs analyst based in Abuja, has praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, for improving security in the capital city.
Oyeniyi, who also works as a legislative consultant, gave this praise in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja. He was reacting to the ongoing removal of shanties and criminal hideouts in the city.
This praise comes as the minister responds to growing worries about safety in Abuja. People now need safer places to live, work, and visit.
According to Oyeniyi, the minister is not only working on improving Abuja’s infrastructure but is also focusing on protecting lives and property.
He said Wike’s actions are a good step toward making the capital more secure.
The FCTA has recently removed illegal buildings, seized vehicles, and collected weapons in an effort to stop crime and make the city safer.
Oyeniyi said this new focus on security is something everyone should praise the Minister and his team for.
He added that while it is the Minister’s duty to do this, people should still give credit when a public official does a good job.
He also said that such strong action to improve safety hasn’t been seen in the FCT for a long time. That’s why, in his view, any reasonable person should support Wike and his team for their efforts.
Oyeniyi called on the government to continue these efforts so that Abuja can stay safe for its people and continue to grow in a healthy and secure way.
