Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has been praised for his outstanding efforts in restoring peace and security across the state, especially in Southern Kaduna and Birnin Gwari, areas once troubled by violent conflicts that claimed many lives.
The commendation came from the Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Professor Adamu Ahmed, during a courtesy visit to the Governor at Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House.
Professor Ahmed applauded the Governor’s peacebuilding drive, describing it as practical, effective, and aimed at fostering peaceful coexistence among the state’s diverse communities.
He noted that the improved security has created a safe environment for education, business, and other social activities to flourish.
The Vice-Chancellor also praised the Governor’s people-focused policies in education, agriculture, and transportation, saying they have further strengthened development in the state.
Professor Ahmed added that the Governor’s peace initiatives have made a major difference in Kaduna’s progress and are a clear sign of his effective leadership.
During the visit, the VC also raised some of the university’s challenges, including poor infrastructure and unresolved land disputes.
He assured the Governor of the university’s readiness to work closely with the state government to achieve shared goals.
In his response, Governor Sani ordered that the Mando land dispute be resolved out of court, approved land for staff housing, and pledged support to upgrade the university’s road network.
