34-year old Salima Mukansanga is an international football referee from Rwanda who is a listed international referee for FIFA since 2012.
She was an official at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
At African Cup of Nations Tournament in Cameroon earlier this year, she became the first woman to officiate at the African Cup of Nations and also the first African woman to referee at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Mukansanga has been chosen to officiate at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and will become the first African woman in the history of the World Cup to referee at the men’s FIFA World Cup.
