The management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun, has announced the death of Mr. Oreoluwa Adewole, a 400-level student in the College of Health Sciences.
This was stated in a release by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abiodun Olarewaju, on Thursday in Ile-Ife.
Olarewaju explained that the student complained of chest pain during an examination and subsequently died despite prompt medical attention.
He said the tragic loss has plunged the university community into mourning.

“The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adebayo Bamire, on behalf of the governing council, Senate, staff, and students, extends heartfelt condolences to the parents, siblings, and entire family of the deceased.
“He also commiserates with his friends, colleagues, and members of the College of Health Sciences over this painful and irreparable loss.
“The University authority is engaging relevant authorities and the family to provide support and to further understand the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident.
“May the soul of the departed rest in perfect peace,” he stated
