The Kano State Government has inaugurated a Committee on the Review of Qualifying Examinations aimed at strengthening the state’s education sector.
This was contained in a statement issued on Friday by Musa Tanko, Information Officer in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
The committee was inaugurated by the Permanent Secretary, Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs Directorate, who represented the SSG, Umar Ibrahim.
According to the statement, the establishment of the committee demonstrates the administration’s commitment to improving education and sustaining the gains recorded under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The committee is tasked with reviewing existing examination processes, evaluating materials and personnel, and identifying areas for improvement.
It is expected to submit its report within four weeks and is chaired by the Special Adviser on Corporate Social Responsibility.
The inauguration of the committee is regarded as another step towards revitalising the education sector and maintaining Kano State’s record of excellence in examinations.
