The Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN), Bauchi State Chapter, on Saturday joined the global community in celebrating the 2025 edition of World Teachers’ Day.
The event, held at the FOMWAN Model Nursery, Primary and Secondary School, Bauchi, featured the recognition of 26 teachers for their 12 years of dedicated service, commitment, and excellence in shaping young minds.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chairperson of FOMWAN’s Education Sub-Committee, Fatsuma Mohammed, said the awards were given to acknowledge the teachers’ resilience and devotion to delivering quality education.
In her remarks, the FOMWAN Amira, Habiba Usman, described teachers as the bedrock of all professions and urged them to sustain their efforts in nurturing future leaders.
Responding on behalf of the awardees, Mr. Aliyu Mahmood expressed gratitude to the association’s leadership for recognising their hard work and commitment.
He assured that teachers would continue to adopt innovative teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes and provide a more conducive environment for students.
