Bauchi state chapter of the Miyyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, has threatened to stop its members from supplying cows to the Southern part of the country if the threat of ejecting the herdsmen from the region materialized.

been subjected to various forms of ridicule and rejection in the country.
According to the State Chairman, Abubakar Sadiq, Fulani herdsmen were subjected to various forms of ridicule and rejection in the country.
He also alleged that the persecution being faced now by Fulani herders, was started by Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom through his unpopular law against open grazing in the state, saying that though the law did not succeed, it has created problems for the herdsmen.
Sadiq added that there is no law stopping any Nigerian from moving from one place to another in the country in pursuance of legitimate business.
On the statement attributed Glgovernor Ortom, that Fulani are criminals, the MACBAN threatened that unless he withdrew the statement, it will be left with no option other than taking legal means to clear the name of Fulani as an ethnic group.
The group also advised Ortom to withdraw the statement he allegedly made that Bauchi state governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir is a terrorist for defending the fulani tribe.
“People must be fair to the Fulani; they should not be branded as criminals. Government at all levels should create a conducive atmosphere for them and others to do their vocation of rearing cattle without molestation. We are all Nigerians and must be treated,” the group said.
