Fresh terrorists attack on the Danbar-Dikko community in the Danba ward of the Illela local government area of Sokoto state, on Friday, left two people dead, and three women abducted.
According to an eyewitness, the terrorists also burnt down the community, which shares border with Niger Republic, including local food storage silos and other properties worth million of naira.
The local government sole administrator, Sahabi Wakili, who confirmed the incident on Saturday, also lamented the frequency of banditry incidents in the area.
According to him, this was the second time that bandits would attack the village where many people died as a result of the incident.

Residents of the community alleged that the attack was organised by a Fulani bandit spearheaded by the gang leader popularly known as Kachalla Bube.
According to Wakili, Kachall Bube, who is the prime suspect, is responsible for inviting and attacking the Hausa community in the area.
“The so-called human rights organisation were in the habit of responding late to issues of security challenges as it relates to Bube and his cohorts.
“They seriously appear to protect the suspects through legal and humanitarian support, but deny such rights to other people in the community,” he said.
