As Muslims across the globe begin Ramadan fast, a presidential aspirant in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, Chief Kennedy Fintan Nnaji has charged Muslims to fast with the fear of God and use the Holy month to redouble their efforts in praying against banditry and other forms of insecurity in the country.
This is contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to ASHENEWS on Saturday.
Nnaji in the statement, also advised all Muslims in Nigeria, to use the period to pray for unity and peaceful coexistence.
The presidential aspirant, who is also a Japan-based Nigerian business mogul and chief executive officer (CEO) of Nahfkenn Associates Plc. Japan (Rare metal Recycling); Nahfkenn Japan-Nigeria Direct Inc; Nahfconnects for Africa and the World Inc Japan (IT startup) also called on wealthy Nigerians to remember the poor.
“Ramadan offers a unique opportunity to feel the hunger experienced by the poor; to feel what the deprived and marginalised feel. I therefore call on the wealthy ones in the society to be magnanimous enough and reach out to the less-privileged by extending food and other needs for their sustenance during this period,” Nnaji stated.
