ASHENEWS reports that the Kano state Police Command, has trained 90 personnel on combat readiness, to enhanced the Command’s efforts in fighting Crimes and criminality in the state.
The graduation of the 3-week regimental training, organised by the 52 Police Mobile Force (PMF), Challawa Base Squadron Kano, held on Tuesday.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel, at the passing out ceremony, said “the Nigeria Police Force under the able leadership of the Inspector-General Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, is committed to training and retraining of Police Personnel.

“Kano State Police Command under my watch, will continue to ensure that Police Officers will periodically be receiving the best of training to meet the demands of the good people of the state by ensuring that the safety and well-being of everyone are guaranteed,” Gumel said.
He charged the personnel to “utilise the training received to enhance better service delivery in accordance with the laid down ethics of the Force and in line with international best practices.”
Earlier in his address, the Commanding Officer, No. 52 PMF Kano, ACP Danlami Yusuf stated the officers underwent rigorous training in weapon handling, crowd control.

“During the three weeks of regimental local training, these 90 Police personnel of the Kano State Police Command, were rigorously trained in weapon handling, musketry, crowd control, care and custody of firearms, obstacles crossing, principles of marksmanship, combat manoeuvres and other Operational tactics.
“They were also lectured on Human Rights, the Code of Conduct for Police Officers, use of force by law enforcement officers, and discipline generally,” Yusuf said.
CP Gumel, also inspected some philanthropist projects at the premises of the 52 PMF Base Squadron Headquarters in Challawa.
The projects by a Philanthropist, Aminu Ahmad included rehabilitated road networks, a 30-bed clinic, three consultation rooms, theaters room, labour room, amenity wards, accident and emergency unit, pharmacy, restaurants, and administrative block.
Gumel commended the philanthropist for the gesture and described the act as worthy of emulation.
He further called on other philanthropists in the state, to emulate Ahmad same and to see the issue of security as collective responsibility.
