Abductors of the Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Muhammad Sani have released him five days of his captivity.
Ado Ada, a family member, in a statement on Thursday thanked God for his release.
The kidnappers identified themselves on Monday and the family engaged them in discussions, which resulted to his release without any ransom due to his record of philanthropy.
According to Ada, “His release was wholly the family efforts and no ransom was paid.
“The family facilitated his timely release with the divine intervention of Allah.
“The commissioner has reunite with his family after receiving medical attention,” the statement reads.
Ada also expressed the family’s sincere appreciation to community members, well wishers and his associates for all their love, sacrifices and support during the trial period.
Recall that the Commissioner’s home at Babban Tunga in Tafa local government area of Niger state, was stormed heavily by armed gunmen at 11pm last Sunday and whisked him away.
