The schoolgirls of Government Secondary School Jangebe, in Talata Mafara local government area of Zamfara have been released.
Although the spokesperson of the Police Command, SP Muhammad Shehu could not confirm the release of the schoolgirls when ASHENEWS contacted him through telephone on Saturday, an official of government who chose to remain anonymous, confirmed that the girls had been rescued.
“Yes, the schoolgirls have been released. We are here in Gusau waiting for their arrival from Anka,” he told ASHENEWS.
He ould not confirm the number of those released.
