Africa’s foremost conglomerate, Dangote Group on Tuesday turned a Mecca of sort as participants thronged its pavilion to have a glimpse of the several innovative products displayed there.
Some of the participants who visited the company’s pavilion included top government officials, Emirs, investors, academics, and several high-profile personalities.
The company, which is the major sponsor of the 43rd Trade Fair, is being organized by the Kano Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA).
President and Chief Executive of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, is the Grand Patron of the KACCIMA.
Participants who thronged the company’s pavilion said they were excited by the quality of the products being displayed.
Many of the participants said they were enlisting for distributorship with the company.
Among those who visited the company’s pavilion are the Emirs of Gaya and his counterpart from the Bichi Emirate.
While delivering his address earlier, Mr. Dangote described the theme of the fair, which is unlocking export opportunities through AFCFTA for Nigeria’s economic growth and development, as apt.
Mr. Dangote was represented by the Regional Director, Dangote Cement Plc. North West, Mr. Aliyu Da’u Aliyu.
He noted that AFCFTA is arguably the future of Africa, adding that DIL will play a significant role in the intra-African market as a Pan-African company and global player to maximize the advantages of the Continental Free Trade
“We are participating in this year’s fair to contribute our own quota to the economic growth of the sptate and Nigeria as a whole and for us, the Theme, ‘Unlocking Export Opportunities Through AfCFTA For Nigeria’s Economic Growth and Development is apt,” he said.

The company’s Group Executive Director Engr. Mansur Ahmed had told newsmen that Kano is a major gateway to trade in Africa and that the Trade Fair offers the company yet another opportunity to leverage on its export potential in line with the AFCFTA.
Speaking to newsmen earlier, the Director-General of the KACCIMA Mustapha M. Aliyu commended the Dangote Group for the partnership and sponsorship of the Trade Fair.
He described the relations between the duo as mutual and supportive.
“We appreciate his efforts and support to the socio-economic growth of Africa,” the Director-General added.
