Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf has launched the 2026 Ramadan feeding programme, aimed at supporting the less-privileged and easing the burden of fasting during the Holy month. The programme, which commenced on Feb. 19, 2026, would distribute food at 115 feeding centres across the eight metropolitan LGAs. Wild Africa has urged the Nigerian government to expedite passage of the Endangered Species Conservation and Protection Bill to safeguard pangolins from extinction.
