Zamfara state government has suspended the delegates conference of the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) scheduled to hold on Thursday this week. Nigerian universities students will remain at home for additional three months following the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU’s) extension of its strike. The National President of ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke confirmed this after the body’s emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, which ended in the early hours of Monday in Abuja. The Cross River Police Command have arrested a 70-year-old man, Bassey Inyang on allegations of sexually assaulting a 12-old-girl in Calabar. Inyang was alleged to have assaulted the minor in his apartment at 14 Waddell Street, Mbukpa community in Calabar South local council of the state. Arik Air and Aero Contractors have pulled out of the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON’s)planned shutdown of flight operations from Monday. The association on Friday, announced that it’s members would suspend flight operations from Monday, May 9, 2022. Earlier on Sunday, Dana Air and Ibom Airlines announced their pull out from the plan.
