Terrorists have attacked Mammansuka community in Gwadabawa local government area of Sokoto state, New Telegraph has reported. The attack carried out over the weekend left two persons killed and 13 others abducted. According to community source, the terrorists stormed the village with weapons and shooting sporadically as a result of which the two people were killed and 13 others abducted. The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have provided $244 million for emergency food production in Nigeria. The President of the AfDB, Dr Akinwumi Adesina said this at the inauguration of the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones in Abuja. The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) on Monday in Abuja announced five million dollars additional grant for Nigeria on climate resilience and to boost dry season farming. IFAD said the fund, targeted at small holder farmers, would help to improve production. Part of it would be used to plant trees to mitigate erosion in the event of new flood as well as to protect and revitalise the soil.
