Zamfara state governor, Bello Muhammad has presented a budget of N160 billion for 2022 to the State House of Assembly. Presenting the budget on Tuesday, the governor said that the figure was higher than the revised 2021 budget of N117 billion by 36 per cent. According to him, the budget was made up of N63 billion recurrent and N97 billion capital expenditures. The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) says 257 projects amounting to N20.138 billion were duplicated in the 2021 budget. Justice Anwuli Chikere of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday declared as illegal, unlawful and unconstitutional, the banishment of the deposed Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi to Awe in Nasarawa state. Armed robbers killed a policeman and a Special Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Corps on Monday in Aramoko-Ekiti when they raided an old generation bank.
