A Federal High Court in Jos on Tuesday, sentenced a former minister of Water Resources, Sarah Ochekpe, Raymond Dabo and Evangelist Leo Sunday Jitung to three months imprisonment each. Nigeria’s former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has said that the 15 million out-of-school children are a threat to national security. The probe panel inaugurated by the Chief Judge of Zamfara state, Kulu Aliyu to investigate allegations labeled by the House of Assembly against the Deputy Governor, Mahdi Aliyu began sitting on Monday and received seven witnesses. Justice Inyang Eden Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday refused the bail application of the detained Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari from custody.
