The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested four individuals believed to have ties to a drug cartel. Chairman of the agency, Retired Brig.-Gen. Buba Marwa, disclosed this during a press briefing held on Tuesday in Lagos. According to him, 11 other persons are wanted for similar offences. The Kaduna State Government has confirmed five deaths following Lassa Fever outbreak in the state. The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on Tuesday increased the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) by 400 basis points to 22.75 per cent from 18.75 per cent. The CBN Governor, Yemi Cardoso, who chairs the MPC, announced the committee’s decisions on Tuesday after the meeting.
