The Associate Professor of Infectious Diseases and Public Health Epidemiology in Nasarawa, Dr Ishaku Akyala, has highlighted the impact of climate change on public health in Africa. U-Farm Africa, a Non-Governmental organization (NGO), says it will partner with key stakeholders in Kaduna State to bolster food production through agricultural mechanisation. China’s energy sector carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions increased by 5.2% in 2023, meaning a record fall of 4-6% is needed by 2025 to meet the government’s “carbon intensity” target. An official of the Yobe state government says 564 patients out of the 636 recorded cases of meningitis outbreak have recovered. The Disease Surveillance and Notification Officer, Primary Healthcare Management Board, Mr Haruna Umar, disclosed this in an interview on Monday in Damaturu.
