The Prisoners Rehabilitation and Welfare Action (PRAWA) has warned that congestion of Correctional Centres was often responsible for jailbreaks. The Executive Director of PRAWA, Dr Uju Agomoh, said this while addressing newsmen in Abuja. The conference was organized by PRAWA in partnership with the National Civil Society Forum on Detention and Corrections on Friday in Abuja. The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) says prices of beef, rice, beans, white garri, yam, and other food items increased in March 2024. The NBS said this in its Selected Food Prices Watch report for March 2024, released in Abuja on Friday.
