Governors of the South Eastern zone, are currently meeting with religious, traditional and political leaders at the Government House in Enugu. Present at the Friday meeting are governors Okezie Ikpazu (Abia state), Dave Umali (Ebonyi state), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, (Enugu state) while deputy Governors, Nkem Okeke and Placid Njoku, represented their bosses from Anambra and Imo State. The UN World Food Programme (WFP), in partnership with the Kenyan government, on Friday, launched cash transfers to help 24,000 families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in informal settlements in the coastal city of Mombasa. The Federal Government on Thursday announced a two-day total closure of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State for a concrete work on some sections.
