The Defence Headquarters says the troops of Operation Thunder Strike, on Tuesday, neutralised several bandits in a joint land and air offensive to clear identified bandits’ camps on the Kaduna-Abuja expressway. The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche, in a statement issued on Wednesday, said that the camps were located at Kuku in Kagarko local government area of Kaduna State. The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dissolved the ward, local government and state executive committees of the Ebonyi state chapter of the party forthwith. The NWC in a statement issued by the party National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, in Abuja on Tuesday also dissolved the South-East Zonal Caretaker Committee of the party.
