Security services have uncovered plans by a secessionist group in the South-East to bomb financial institutions, especially banks and business premises and attribute their nefarious activities to government agencies. The Police in Ekiti on Friday confirmed that gunmen had kidnapped Oba David Oyewumi, the Obadu of Ilemeso in Oye local government area of the state. ASP Sunday Abutu, the spokesman for the police in the state, confirmed the incident and described it as “unfortunate and regrettable’’. Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has formally signed a short-term deal with four-time Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Champions, Kano Pillars. The 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) generated N1.31 trillion as Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, in 2020 compared to N1.33 trillion recorded in 2019, the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, has disclosed. NBS made this known on Friday in Abuja in its “Internally Generated Revenue At State Level” for Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2020 published on its website. According to the report, it indicates a negative growth of -1.93 per cent year on year.
