Sennator Ali Ndume, on Friday, told the Federal High Court, Abuja, that he did not know the whereabouts of ex-Chairman, Pension Reformed Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina. Ndume, who is standing as surety for Maina, told Justice Okon Abang following the ex-Pension boss’ absence in court for the third times which had stalled the ongoing trial. The Court of Appeal Court sitting in Abuja on Friday, affirmed the election of Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa and set aside the judgment of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which nullified his election. A five-member panel of justices of the court reversed the nullification of Diri’s election on the grounds that the petition filed by the Advanced Nigerian Democratic Party, (ANDP), which led to the nullification, was statute barred. The Bauchi State chapter of the Ginger Growers, Processing and Marketers Association of Nigeria says it has registered some 5,000 farmers who indicated interest to engage in ginger production. Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed, the coordinator of the programme said in Bauchi on Friday that the farmers were registered in all the 20 local government areas of the state.
