The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Osun, says eight persons have lost their lives following an accident that occurred on Gbongan-Osogbo expressway. The Sector Commander, Mrs Kudirat Ibrahim, made this known in a statement issued by Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi, the command’s spokesperson, in Osogbo. The accident occurred at 1:20 a.m., on Saturday, opposite Ataoja Overhead bridge, along Abere, Osogbo-Gbongan expressway. The Central Bank of Nigeria has confirmed the appointment of Mrs Beatrice Bassey, as the substantive Chair of Union Bank of Nigeria (UBN) Plc. This was against 270.69 million shares worth N2.04 billion exchanged in 3,910 deals on Thursday, an increase of 21.32 per cent. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, says it has approved the Pfizer BioNtech vaccine for emergency use authorisation for COVID-19 in Nigeria. Germany will start returning Benin bronzes to Nigeria in 2022, the country’s foreign and culture ministries said on Friday. They said in a statement that the move was part of a growing trend to return cultural artifacts seized during the colonial era to their places of origin. The African Union Commission on Thursday, despatched a seven – day fact-finding team to N’Djamena, Chad with a mission to assess the situation in country and examine ways of a speedy return to democratic rule, AfricaNews has reported. Mohammed Bungudu has been moved from Special Duties to Ministry of Water Resources; Lawal Abubakar Zanna from Science and Technical Education to Ministry of Special Duties and Buhari Gora is deployed to Ministry of Science and Technical Education.
