The Sokoto state governor, Ahmed Aliyu has approved half salary as a Ramadan package for all categories of civil servants and pensioners in the state.
In a statement by the press secretary Abubakar Bawa on Sunday, the aim is to assist workers in the state to observe the Ramadan fast.
The governor appealed to the Muslim Ummah to use the glorious month of Ramadan to pray for peace and Allah’s intervention in the fight against numerous challenges facing the country Nigeria.

He also called on traders and wealthy individuals in the state, to show love and mercy to the poor to earn Allah’s mercy and forgiveness during the holy month.
The governor thanked the people of the State for their continued support and fervent prayers to his administration, which he described as key to all successes recorded in the state.
