A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Segun Sowunmi, on Thursday, said thoss who spoke President Bola Tinubu into power are now embarrassed.

There are speculations that the certificate President Tinubu submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was forged.

Sowunmi, who spoke on ChannelsTV on Thursday night, was reacting to the controversy surrounding the certificate of President Tinubu from the Chicago State University (CSU).

According to him, people like former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, now have their tongues clipped over the controversy around Tinubu.

“Every time I remember Kemi Adeosun, I ask myself, What did she really do? Every time I remember Salisu Buhari, the very first speaker in those days, I ask myself, What did he really do? And Seun, there are 40 million Yoruba groups; that’s the estimation.

“There are 222 million people in Nigeria, and there are 93 million registered voters in Nigeria. The verdict that is in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s hands is by 8 million people.

“Shall all of us who are not part of that eight million now say to ourselves that we’re now at the proudest moment of our lives wherein, under deposition, documents are flying about? Some are saying female, some are writing male, and some are saying he came with the social security number that is tracked to a woman. Look, let me tell you, Seun.

“I know a lot of people who have spoken about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidency in the past. People like my very respected brother, Femi Fani Kayode, must have their tongues clipped now because they’ll be greatly embarrassed. This is what we have really become,” he said.
