ASHENEWS reports that the Niger state governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has hailed the verdict of the presidential election petition court (PEPC) which affirmed the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 presidential elections.
Bago, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim said that the victory is not only for the APC but for Democracy in Nigeria and other African Nations.
“Congratulations to our great party, the APC. It is now time for more service to the people without distractions because Nigerians deserve good governance,” he said.
Bago equally urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima to be magnanimous in victory, and remain focused on actualizing the “Renewed Hope” agender of the present administration.
Similarly, the governor lauded the recent victory of some members of the APC at the election petition tribunal in the state.
The statement congratulated the lawmaker representing Niger East Mohammed Sani Musa, Member representing Bosso, Paikoro Federal constituency, Yusuf Barade Kure as well as the Niger North legislator, Abubakar Sani Bello whose elections was upheld at the Tribunal recently.
The Governor charged them not to discriminate against anyone in their constituencies but to carry everyone along irrespective of party or religious affiliations.
