The State Pilgrims Welfare Agency says it has airlifted a total of 3,583 pilgrims after performing the 2023 pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
The Director General of the agency, Ibrahim Umar disclosed this when he addressed newsmen in Makkah.
According to him, the number is out of the 5,197 pilgrims that performed this year’s Hajj from the state.
He added that the 428-seat capacity airlines deployed to transport the remaining pilgrims had elicited hope that the exercise would be completed in good time.
He expressed delight at the commitment to service delivery by Hajj officials which guaranteed the success of the exercise.
ASHENEWS gathers that with the 11th flight being expected at any moment, the total number of pilgrims to return to Nigeria will rise to 3,966.
