The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says the April 15 supplementary elections scheduled to hold in Sokoto state, will be conducted in a total of 522 polling units for the Senatorial District, and 466 polling units for the corresponding Federal Constituencies supplementary elections.

A statement by the spokesperson of the Commission, Dr. Shamsuddeen Haliru Sidi made available to ASHENEWS on Friday, said the elections will hold across 10 of the 11 Federal Constituencies, as well as the three Senatorial Districts in the state.

According to INEC, a total of 522 polling units are involved for the Senatorial District supplementary elections, and 466 polling units are for the Federal Constituencies.
According to the breakdown, of the total of 522 polling units, the election will be conducted in 169 polling units in Sokoto East Senatorial District; 185 polling units in Sokoto North Senatorial District, and 168 polling units in Sokoto South Senatorial District.

Also, of the total of 468 polling units, the election will be conducted in the Federal Constituencies as follows: Isa/Sabon Birni 18; Goronyo/Gada 74; Wurno/Rabah 53; Illela/Gwadabawa 14; Tangaza/Gudu 15; Binji/Silame 13; Kware/Wamakko 58; Sokoto North/Sokoto South 99; Dange-Shuni/Bodinga/Tureta 68; and Kebbe/Tanbuwal 56.
