ASHENEWS reports that the Centre for Innovative and Pragmatic Development Initiative (CIPDI) has joined the world in congratulating Nigerian women as they celebrate the 2023 International Women’s Day.
March 8 every year is set aside by the United Nations to celebrate the International Women’s Day.
CIPDI, in a statement jointly signed by its President, Mr. Ifeanyi Nwonoro and spokesperson, Abdallah el-Kurebe on Wednesday, congratulated, and rejoiced with women across the world, especially the Nigerian women on the occasion of this year’s event.
“CIPDI is proud of you for your immense contribution to Nigeria’s development, and the world at large.
“Though your efforts in playing leading roles in various spheres of our nationhood, is merely recognised, the fruit of your labour shall always grow stronger.
“Your excellence in the political, educational, and socio-economic, and indeed, professional leadership positions in Nigeria and globally, is a thing of pride.
“CIPDI similarly recognises your immense contribution to national unity, peace, and stability,” the statement reads.
CIPDI called on Nigerian government to give women the enabling environment to further contribute to peace, development, and good governance.
