The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seem to be facing real trouble as Lagos, Ekiti, Ondo state governors, Jide Sanwo-Olu, Kayode Fayemi and Rotimi Akeredolu with other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), visited to woo Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt on Friday.
ASHENEWS gathers from a source very to one of the governors that the move is to woo Wike and other aggrieved PDP members into the APC ahead of the 2023 general elections.
ASHENEWS recalls that both Wike and the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and Wike debunked media reports penultimate week that they met in France in possible moves for the latter to defect to the APC.
ASHENEWS could not confirm the result of the meeting, but recalls that on his return from Turkiye, Wike said he would not leave the party.
