The Sokoto Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has warned motorists against traffic violations on highways.
A statement by the spokesperson of the Command, SRC Salisu Tureta on Monday also advised passengers to caution their drivers found “driving above the recommended speed limit.
According to the statement, drivers should “Obey the recommended speed limit of 90km/h or 100km/h on the highway and 30km/h within the township.
“Install speed limiting device in their vehicles.
“Avoid night journey as much as possible.”
The command observed that ember months “are usually characterized by high volume of vehicular movements on our highways with consequent increase in road crashes, especially as a result of over speeding by most drivers.”
