Ten stockbroking firms on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd. (NGX) recorded transactions worth N949.899 billion in April 2026.
This performance reinforced their dominance in the equities market, as the firms accounted for 52.37 per cent of the total trade value during the period, according to the NGX broker performance report.
The leading firms were Cardinalstone Securities, Cordros Securities, Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers, EFG Hermes Nigeria, and Meristem Stockbrokers. Others in the top ten included First Securities Brokers, Coronation Securities, United Capital Securities, Lambeth Capital, and QCapital Ltd.

Cardinalstone Securities led the chart with N321.994 billion, followed by Cordros Securities with N124.064 billion. Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers posted N104.198 billion, while EFG Hermes Nigeria recorded N96.103 billion.
Meristem Stockbrokers traded N81.022 billion, First Securities Brokers N49.966 billion, Coronation Securities N47.001 billion, and United Capital Securities N45.137 billion. Lambeth Capital and QCapital Ltd. closed the top ten with N41.117 billion and N39.298 billion respectively.
The ten firms collectively traded 16.194 billion shares, representing 47.63 per cent of the total trading volume on the exchange.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian stock market posted a historic monthly gain of N26.185 trillion in April.
