The Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Barau Jibrin, has distributed 47 vehicles and 287 motorcycles to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano North Senatorial District to boost grassroots empowerment.
Jibrin, represented by the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda, Salihu Sagir-Takai, said the gesture, carried out on Wednesday in Kano, aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He explained that the items aim to ease economic hardship and improve the livelihoods of beneficiaries, including APC Local Government Chairmen, Secretaries, and other party stakeholders in the district.

“This is not the first time we are carrying out such an intervention, and it will certainly not be the last,” he said.
Chief of Staff to the Deputy Senate President, Prof. Muhammad Ibn-Abdullahi, described the initiative as a capital-intensive effort to promote self-reliance and reduce poverty. He urged beneficiaries not to sell the items but to use them productively to generate income.
Barau’s media aide, Shittu Madaki, added that the distribution was carefully carried out among selected beneficiaries and noted that more empowerment programs are underway.
